Our purpose in the healthcare community is to provide education, support, and case review. We also provide expert witness testimony, device evaluation and remote second opinion services. As the premier prosthetics consulting service, we are able to provide a variety of meeting platforms including voice and video conferencing, as well as in person consultations.
con moto prosthetics is lead by founder and CEO Sarra Mullen, CP, an accomplished certified and licensed prosthetist with 10 years experience at the world-renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the Center for Bionic Medicine.
Sarra’s background includes more than ten years living abroad in four countries, on three continents, giving her a cultured and global view of healthcare. She is also herself an amputee, which gives her a unique and personal perspective of her work in prosthetics.
Prior to con moto prosthetics, Sarra served the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago as a Clinical and Research Prosthetist. During her tenure at RIC, Sarra designed and fit high-end devices for complex patients. She also served as a member on multiple committees aimed to streamline process flow and business initiatives. Embracing prosthetics education, Sarra co-managed the Prosthetic and Orthotic Residency in the Prosthetic Orthotic Clinical Center of RIC and lectured biweekly at the RIC Academy for Physical Therapists. She also led prosthetic laboratory sessions at Northwestern University Physical Therapy Department. Sarra was a member of the Center for Bionic Medicine research team that presented a powered leg controlled prosthesis along with neural interface research at the International Symposium on Innovations in Amputation Surgery and Prosthetic Technologies held in Chicago, IL in 2016.
Sarra graduated from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine Prosthetic-Orthotic Program in 2006 and completed her Prosthetics Residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in 2007.
Along with her clinical and research work, Sarra has lectured on topics such as lean methodologies, 5S initiatives, accreditation/compliance and other healthcare business topics.
